Our History

Liberty Outdoor Advertising was founded by Jack Schaffer, a prominent local figure who served as an Illinois State Senator. Jack built Liberty into a staple of the local business community, helping countless local businesses grow through high-visibility advertising.

Jack hired Bryan Javor in 2011. The next year, Bryan took over operations. In 2020 Jack officially passed the torch to Bryan and Angela Javor. Under their stewardship, the company navigated the changing times. When Bryan launched TSS Chicago in 2022 to pursue his passion for private security, Angela stepped up to lead operations.

The Next Chapter

In October 2025, Steve Weber acquired Liberty Outdoor Advertising, continuing a proud tradition of local, family-owned leadership. While the ownership is new, Steve is no stranger to the landscape of McHenry County.

A graduate of Cary-Grove High School (Class of ’99), Steve has been a dedicated professional of the billboard industry in McHenry County since 2001. He currently resides in Cary with his wife, three children, and two dogs.

Today, under Steve Weber’s guidance, Liberty Outdoor Advertising remains 100% locally focused, combining decades of industry expertise with a neighborly commitment to our community’s success.
